If you Do Praise God
Yes, I do have the holy Spirit. As a Lutheran, I believe that the holy spirit was given to me at baptism. This doesn't mean I can just do whatever I want, I believe in living a holy life according to God's law. I find the Holy spirit to be quite intriguing and mysterious. I like Gregorian chant, and there are many beautiful hymns to the Holy Spirit
I got the Holy Ghost when I got saved, but being filled with Him is a daily process. I know what it feels like to be filled with the Holy Ghost.
beeing filled with the spirit?
Hello there .) beeing filled with the spirit's not a feeling, you dont feel like youre beeign fileld by him. now that beeign said, i might "feel it" at times, that i'm filled with him, but there are days when idon'tfeel him. taht does not however, mean he's not there :)
I lke the lutheran term already, but not yet .. i think its some the way it is with having the holy spirit as a guide. now, i am a true crossing between pentecostal and lutheran, so i perfectly well understand tboth camps :)
(i am more of a carismatic .) )
hope you all have a blessed day!

Hi Voice of Joy, It's nice to have some Lutheran perspective. I have an aunt who is very charismatic, so I kind of know both perspectives as well. I do agree, that being filled with the Holy Spirit isn't always a "feeling". I mean, he's part of the Trinity and is omnipotent and is therefore everywhere. I do believe he works today, and he guides people to lead holy lives. I do believe in the gifts of the Spirit, but I do exercise some caution when dealing with charismatic gifts like tongues and prophesy, but I do believe these gifts exist. I have a problem however, when people tell me I don't have the holy spirit, cause I'm not Pentecostal, or don't pray in tongues. I don't really like this mindset, cause it seems like one's placing limits on God, and, who I was taught is eternal and omnipotent. I'm not claiming anyone on this forum has had the above-mentioned attitude, it's just something I am wary of with some charismatics. Especially my family members who claim I'm not a true Christian. I try to avoid religion in polite conversation with them. This is an interesting topic though.
When you get the holy ghost your face glows.
I got the holy ghost when UI was saved this summer. It's a great feeling!
